More information about Spätburgunder Weißherbst 1,0 l - Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen

The Spätburgunder Weißherbst from the Baden wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass with a brilliantly shimmering strawberry pink. With a little time in the glass, this Old World rosé wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of plum jam, lime, pomelo and pink grapefruit, rounded off by juniper, garrigue and forest floor.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with 12.5 grams of residual sugar. As one would naturally expect from a wine at an upscale entry-level price, this German wine enchants, despite all its dryness, with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. The Spätburgunder Weißherbst can rightly be described as exceptionally fruit-driven and velvety, as it was vinified with a wonderfully off-dry flavor profile. Thanks to its pronounced fruit acidity, the Spätburgunder Weißherbst appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful rosé wine from the Baden wine-growing region, more precisely from Jechtingen, finally impresses with a lovely aftertaste.

Vinification of Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen Spätburgunder Weißherbst

This elegant rosé wine from Germany is vinified from the Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) grape variety. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Spätburgunder Weißherbst can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

Food recommendation for the Spätburgunder Weißherbst from Winzergenossenschaft Jechtingen

This German wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to leek tortilla, potato pan with salmon or spinach gratin with almonds.
