The light-footed Sparklin' Secco from Weingut Dr. Koehler flows into the glass with a brilliant light yellow. This matured white wine also flatters the eye with golden-yellow reflections. On the nose, this Weingut Dr. Koehler white wine reveals all kinds of mangos, grapefruits, pineapples, guavas and limes. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as cinnamon, cocoa bean and dark chocolate are added thanks to maturation in stainless steel.
On the palate, Weingut Dr. Koehler Sparklin' Secco shows an incredibly fruity taste, which is of course also due to its residual-sweet flavor profile. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine presents itself wonderfully light. Thanks to its present acidity, the Sparkling Secco appears delightfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this well-ageable wine from the Rheinhessen wine region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of pineapple and lime appear.
Vinification of Sparklin' Secco from Weingut Dr. Koehler
The elegant Sparklin' Secco from Germany is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Kerner, Müller-Thurgau and Riesling. After hand-picking, the grapes reach the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
