More information about Stadtmauer Dornfelder trocken - Kirchner
The Stadtmauer Dornfelder from the wine-growing region Palatinate presents itself in the glass in a brilliantly shimmering purple-red. This single-varietal German wine displays wonderfully youthful notes of fruit bread, black cherries, dried fruit and prunes in the glass. In addition, there are nuances of cinnamon, smoked meat and firewood.
The Kirchner Stadtmauer Dornfelder presents itself to the wine lover as delightfully dry. This red wine never appears rough or lean, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed red wine is wonderfully dense. Thanks to its distinctive acidity, the Stadtmauer Dornfelder appears impressively fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Palatinate wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum and black cherry appear.
Vinification of the Kirchner Stadtmauer Dornfelder
The basis for the elegant Stadtmauer Dornfelder from the Palatinate is grapes of the Dornfelder variety. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Stadtmauer Dornfelder can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
