The Tempranillo from Viña Zorzal of Aragon reveals a bright ruby red color in the wine glass. In the glass, this red wine from Viña Zorzal offers aromas of plums, morello cherries, black cherries and plums, complemented by forest floor and sun-warmed rocks. This Spanish wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Spanish wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully melting. With its lively fruit acidity, the Tempranillo is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red from the wine-growing region of Aragon finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of plum and damson. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and gravel are added.

Vinification of the Tempranillo from Viña Zorzal

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Tempranillo. Only impeccable grape material was brought in for this exceptionally balanced single varietal wine from Viña Zorzal. In Aragon, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and gravel. The grapes for this red wine from Spain, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Enjoy this red wine from Spain ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as a companion to stuffed peppers, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce.
