More information about Trittenheimer Riesling trocken - Josef Rosch

Mosel wine connoisseurs know it as J.R. Junior Riesling, but now Josef Rosch has had to rename his Junior to Trockenheimer Riesling in accordance with German wine law. However, this has no influence on the content, of course, because nothing has changed.

In the glass, the Trockenheimer Riesling from the house of Josef Rosch shows a brilliantly shimmering light yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from the Old World offers wonderfully expressive aromas of quince, lemon, apricot and pear, rounded off by other fruity nuances.

The Josef Rosch Trockenheimer Riesling inspires with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 9 grams of residual sugar. Here it is a real local wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Trockenheimer Riesling reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate.

Vinification of the Trockenheimer Riesling by Josef Rosch

The basis for the elegant Trockenheimer Riesling from the Mosel is grapes from the Riesling grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Trockenheimer Riesling can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Food recommendation for the Trockenheimer Riesling by Josef Rosch

This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to roasted trout with ginger pear, asparagus salad with quinoa or spaghetti with yogurt mint pesto.
