More information about XEO trocken - Weingut Manz
The elegant XEO from Weingut Manz glows in the glass with bright purple. This German cuvée presents wonderfully complex notes of mulberries, blueberries, blackberries and black currants in the glass. These are joined by hints of forest floor, vanilla and cocoa bean.
The winery Manz XEO presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the XEO presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of blackberry and blueberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and marl dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Manz XEO Winery
This balanced red wine from Germany is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Saint Laurent and Pinot Noir grapes. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. After harvesting, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.
