More information about Zweigelt - Pasler Martin
The Zweigelt from the wine-growing region of Burgenland presents itself in the glass in a bright light red. The first nose of the Zweigelt reveals nuances of plums. Joining the fruity components of the bouquet are black cherry, chocolate and licorice.
Pasler Martin Zweigelt presents itself to the wine lover as pleasantly dry. This red wine never appears coarse or lean, as one might expect from a wine. Balanced and complex, this fleshy yet light red wine shows on the palate. On the finish, this red wine from the Burgenland wine-growing region delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum appear.
Vinification of Zweigelt by Pasler Martin
The basis for this balanced Zweigelt from Austria is grapes from the Zweigelt variety. After harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
