Vinification of the Winery Wohlmuth Blaufränkisch Hochberg
The balanced Blaufränkisch Hochberg from Austria is a single-varietal wine, made from the Lemberger grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and loess. The berries for this red wine from Austria, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand . After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Blaufränkisch Hochberg is aged for several months in oak barriques.
