More information about Aufspiel Rosé trocken - Keth
The Aufspiel Rosé dry – Keth shows in the glass a radiant, delicate salmon-pink rosé with finely shimmering reflections. Even at the first swirl, a playful scent of juicy blackberry and ripe sour cherry rises. Floral hints of fragrant rose and fine violet set elegant accents and give the wine a charming, slightly playful note.
On the palate, a silky-feeling mouthfeel unfolds with a clear, animating structure. The fruit of dark berry mix and juicy cherry meets a lively, precise acidity. Fine, barely perceptible tannins provide backbone and structure without overshadowing the delicate melt. The rosé appears distinguished, clearly defined and at the same time wonderfully effortless. The finish is fruit-driven, fresh and elegant, with pleasantly lingering aromas of cherry and berries.

The combination of fruit-intense Dornfelder and finely structured Pinot Noir gives the wine depth, finesse and a balanced play of aromas. With its mild climate and varied soils, Rheinhessen offers ideal conditions for producing such a harmonious rosé.

Production of Aufspiel Rosé dry by Keth
The Keth winery in Rheinhessen works with a consistent focus on organic cultivation. The vines grow on gently rolling sites with a varied soil profile ranging from loess and loam to calcareous sections. The mild climate, characterized by many hours of sunshine, gives the grapes a long ripening period, resulting in intense aromas and a lively, clear freshness.
For Aufspiel Rosé dry – Keth, Dornfelder and Pinot Noir grapes of carefully checked quality make their way into the cellar. Harvesting is selective so that only fully ripe, aromatic grapes flow into the rosé cuvée. The berries initially remain on the skins for a short time so that the delicate rosé hue and the typical fruit aromas of blackberry and sour cherry pass into the must.
This is followed by cool, temperature-controlled fermentation, which preserves the fresh, floral character and the crisp fruit. Maturation takes place predominantly in stainless steel tanks. This keeps the focus clearly on the primary aromas and the delicate structure. The wine thus presents itself very pure, straightforward and unadulterated. The silky-feeling character arises from gentle maturation on the fine lees, which lends additional depth and a fine mouthfeel.
The winemaker’s style aims for elegance, clarity and drinking pleasure. Intense wood aromas are deliberately kept in the background so that the precise fruit and the distinguished character of the rosé take center stage. The cuvée of Dornfelder and Pinot Noir thereby gains a clear profile: fragrant, fruit-driven, silky in texture and with a lively, animating finale.
