More information about Avantgarde Grauburgunder trocken - Bergdolt-Reif & Nett
The elegant Avantgarde Grauburgunder from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett shimmers a radiant copper gold in the glass. When swirling the glass, you can perceive an excellent balance in this white wine, as it neither clings to the glass walls in a watery way nor in a syrupy or liqueur-like manner. On the nose, this Bergdolt-Reif & Nett white wine presents all kinds of green apples, honeydew melons, pears and lemons. As if that were not already impressive, toasted wood notes are added thanks to its maturation in stainless steel.
On the palate, the Avantgarde Grauburgunder from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is delightfully crisp and fleshy. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Avantgarde Grauburgunder presents itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and vibrant. In the finish, this youthful wine from the Pfalz region finally delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of green apple and lemon appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes join in, originating from the loess and clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Avantgarde Grauburgunder
The basis for the balanced Avantgarde Grauburgunder from the Pfalz is grapes of the Pinot Gris variety. In the Pfalz, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and loess soils. Without question, the Avantgarde Grauburgunder is also influenced by the climatic and stylistic factors of Duttweiler. This German wine can literally be described as an Old World wine, which presents itself in an exceptionally refined manner. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Avantgarde Grauburgunder can continue to harmonize for a few months on the fine lees.
