Ellermann-Spiegel's Chardonnay Goldkapsel is a gorgeous white wine that glows with an expressive light golden color. The first nose of this expressive white wine from the Palatinate reveals ripe Abbé Fetel and Williams pear, some pineapple, followed by mineral notes and a hint of Galia melon.

On the palate, Frank Spiegel's Chardonnay Goldkapsel is beautifully delicate, creamy and full-bodied. Nevertheless, the wine does not lack elegance. The aromas of the nose are joined on the palate by some delicately sweet stone fruit as well as a playful nutmeg spice. The harmonious acidity of the wine ensures a lively drinking flow.

Vinification of the Chardonnay Goldkapsel from Ellermann-Spiegel

Frank Spiegel obtains the grapes for this top Chardonnay from his Domterrassen parcel. After maceration, the juice is pressed and temperature-controlled fermented in stainless steel tanks. Approximately 30% is vinified in French oak barriques to give the wine even more complexity and smoothness.
