Vinification of the Craft Series Pride & Glory Sauvignon Blanc from Marisco

The basis for the balanced Craft Series Pride & Glory Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand South Island are grapes from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc. On New Zealand's South Island, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sandstone. Due to the mitigating influence of the nearbyRiver, the grapes ripen more slowly and more aromatic partiality. The ripening of the grapes for this Sauvignon Blanc wine is influenced by the climate of the growing region to an extent that cannot be denied. In New Zealand South Island, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Craft Series Pride & Glory Sauvignon Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
