Custoza DOC - Azienda Agricola Gorgo

The light-footed Custoza from Azienda Agricola Gorgo shimmers a brilliant platinum yellow in the glass. The first nose of the Custoza reveals pears, nashi pears and apples. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by lovage, juniper and Mediterranean herbs.

The Azienda Agricola Gorgo Custoza is pleasantly dry for wine lovers. This white wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. The texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully crisp on the palate. The Custoza reveals itself to be wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this youthful wine from the Veneto wine-growing region is delightfully long. There are again hints of peach and quince.

Vinification of the Azienda Agricola Gorgo Custoza

The basis for the elegant Custoza from Veneto are grapes from the Cortese, Friulano, Garganega and Trebbiano grape varieties. The grapes for the Custoza are harvested exclusively by hand at optimum ripeness, without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once it has finished, the Custoza can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
