The powerful Tancredi Rosso Terre Siciliane from Donnafugata comes to the table in a magnificent Dolce & Gabbana edition. In the glass it shimmers a dense purplish red. After the first swirl, this cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Nero d’Avola and Tannat reveals high viscosity, which shows in pronounced church windows on the glass. The initial nose of the Dolce & Gabbana Tancredi reveals notes of blackcurrants, plums and blueberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by aromas from barrel aging such as light tobacco, dark chocolate and licorice.
This Italian red wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile and a vibrant acidity, which, together with firm tannins, gives it good aging potential. The finish of this well age-worthy red wine from the Terre Siciliane wine-growing region ultimately convinces with a magnificent aftertaste.
Vinification of the Dolce & Gabbana Tancredi Rosso Terre Siciliane from Donnafugata
The powerful Dolce & Gabbana Tancredi from Italy is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Nero d'Avola and Tannat. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats for 14 days at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Dolce & Gabbana Tancredi is aged for another 12 months in French oak barriques and, after bottling, matures for a further 2 years in the bottle.
