The Velenosi Falerio dei Colli Ascolani is a first-class white wine in a glass. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, light yellow color. This Velenosi white wine presents the nose with all kinds of oranges, jasmine, honeysuckle, lemons and lime. As if that wasn't already impressive, the gingerbread spice, oriental spices and vanilla are added thanks to the ageing in stainless steel.

As you would expect from a wine at the upper end of the price range, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Marche wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. There are again hints of honeysuckle and kumquat. Mineral notes from the sand-dominated soil are added to the finish.

Vinification of Velenosi Falerio dei Colli Ascolani

This elegant white wine from Italy is made from the Passerina, Pecorino and Trebbiano grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Marche region. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into sandy soils. The grapes for the Falerio dei Colli Ascolani are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of coarse and less selective machinery, at the time of optimum ripeness. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Falerio dei Colli Ascolani can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

This Italian white wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to a potato pan with salmon, spinach gratin with almonds or vegetable stew with pesto.
