More information about Friulano Collio - Draga
The Friulano Collio from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright golden yellow. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of green apple, ripe apple and acacia, rounded off by bitter almond.
On the palate, Draga’s Friulano Collio starts off wonderfully dry, firm and aromatic. Balanced and multi-layered, this fleshy and crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region delights with a lovely length. Once again, notes of ripe apple and acacia appear. In the aftertaste, mineral nuances from the clay- and sandstone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Friulano Collio from Draga
The balanced Friulano Collio from Italy is a varietal wine, vinified from the Friulano grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and sandstone. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Friulano Collio can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 7 months.
Food recommendation for Friulano Collio from Draga
