The Grüner Silvaner already comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 4.7 grams of residual sugar. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and clay.

Vinification of the Manz Grüner Silvaner Winery

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Silvaner. Only immaculate grape material was brought in for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Weingut Manz. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Grüner Silvaner from Weingut Manz

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to roasted trout with ginger pear, wok vegetables with fish or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
