More information about Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc - Martin Waßmer

With the Martin Waßmer Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc, a first-class white wine flows into the swirled glass. It displays a wonderfully bright, pale yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Baden delights with notes of gooseberry, grapefruit, pear, and nashi pear. As we follow the aromas further, Mediterranean herbs, lovage, and green bell pepper emerge.

On the palate, Martin Waßmer’s Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc opens wonderfully dry, firm, and aromatic. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc presents itself on the palate as delightfully fresh and vibrant.

Vinification of the Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc by Martin Waßmer

The basis for the well-balanced Markgräflerland Sauvignon Blanc from Baden is grapes from the Sauvignon Blanc variety. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is matured for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
