More information about Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling feinherb - Weingut Kiefer

The Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling from the Baden wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The bouquet of this white wine from Baden captivates with nuances of ripe apple, green apple, lemon and peach. It is precisely its fruit-forward character that makes this wine so special.

The light-footed Weingut Kiefer Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling presents an incredibly fruit-driven taste on the palate, which is due not least to its residual sweetness. Light-footed and multi-layered, this light white wine unfolds on the palate. Thanks to its striking acidity, the Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling appears impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Baden wine-growing region, more precisely from Kaiserstuhl, ultimately convinces with a good length. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral hints imparted by the loess and volcanic soils that dominate the vineyards.

Vinification of the Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling from Weingut Kiefer

This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the Müller-Thurgau and Riesling grape varieties. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess and volcanic soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.

Food recommendation for Weingut Kiefer Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to coconut-lime fish curry, fried trout with ginger and pear, or stuffed cabbage rolls.
