The Negroamaro F of Cantine San Marzano from the Italian wine region of Puglia is an outstanding, complex and body-rich red wine.
This wine has a dark violet colour with a black core in the glass. The bouquet shines here with a density and reveals an aroma of ripe blackberries. Notes of cherry jam and plum compote are also clearly visible and combine with hints of cocoa, cloves, cinnamon and thyme.
Silky, the dense tannin structure flatters the palate. Here, the fruit and spice aromas dominate, which are balanced by a fine acid. The full and dense body of this strong wine also comes to the fore. A very long reverberation rounds off the wine experience.
Vinification of San Marzano Negroamaro F
The pure Negroamaro comes from indigenous vines and an optimal location to emphasize fruit and depth. Low yields due to the limestone soil and hot winds from Africa require a healthy development of the grapes and drive the high quality of the vineyard
.The rich winemaking tradition of the area around Taranto and San Marzano results in an abundance of autochthonous grape varieties and thus the opportunity to create many exciting, locally typical and high-quality wines. The grapes for the Negroamaro F are harvested mainly in September by hand. The final step in the refinement of the wine is to store it for 12 months in French and Caucasian oak barrels. Here, its varietal tannins and its own fruit aromas can ripen and work optimally
.Food recommendation for the Cantine San Marzano Negroamaro F
