Vinification of Binigrau Obac
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Obac cuvée from Binigrau consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Callet, Manto Negro, Merlot, and Syrah grapes. Obac is an Old World wine in the very best sense of the term, as this Spaniard exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures follows. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Obac is aged for another 14 months in French oak barrels.
