More information about Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling trocken - Weingut Manz

The elegant Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling from Weingut Manz glides into the glass with a bright light yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of grapefruit, apricot, pink grapefruit and lime, rounded out by forest floor and sun-warmed rock.

The Weingut Manz Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine enthusiast. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly silky texture. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of lime and grapefruit. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Weingut Manz Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling

This balanced white wine from Germany is vinified from the Riesling grape variety. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months....

Food recommendation for the winery Manz Oppenheimer Sackträger Riesling

This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as a companion to asparagus salad with quinoa, coconut-lime fish curry or fruity endive salad.
