Vinification of Peter Zemmer Pinot Grigio Alto Adige

This balanced white wine from Italy is vinified from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. In Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sedimentary and weathered rock. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. After a short maceration period, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Grigio from Zemmer can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
