More information about Pinot Noir trocken - Oliver Zeter
Oliver Zeter’s Pinot Noir from the Palatinate presents a bright, light red color in the wine glass. With a little time in the glass, this Old World red wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of sour cherry and blackberry, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by the barrel aging.
On the palate, Oliver Zeter’s Pinot Noir opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and well-balanced. Some wines are dry on the label, others truly are. This red wine belongs to the second group, as it was bottled with only 0.1 g of residual sugar. On the tongue, this harmonious red wine is characterized by an exceptionally meaty and silky texture. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Pinot Noir appears impressively fresh and vibrant on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Palatinate wine-growing region is delightfully long. Again, hints of sour cherry and blackberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the clay- and sand-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Pinot Noir by Oliver Zeter
This well-balanced Pinot Noir from Germany is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and sand. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Pinot Noir by Oliver Zeter
Enjoy this red wine from Germany best at a temperature of 15–18°C as an accompanying wine to boiled veal shoulder with beans and tomatoes, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram, or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
