More information about Praìola Salina Bianco - Salvatore D'Amico
The organically produced Praìola Salina Bianco from the house of Salvatore D'Amico flows into the glass with a bright golden yellow. On the nose, this Salvatore D'Amico white wine presents all sorts of ripe apple, green apple, lemons and mirabelles. As if that were not already impressive, mint/melissa is added thanks to its maturation in large wooden casks.
The Salvatore D'Amico Praìola Salina Bianco presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine drinker. This white wine never appears coarse or lean, but rather round and smooth. Balanced and multi-faceted, this crisp white wine shows itself on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Sicily delights with beautiful length. Once again, nuances of green apple and mirabelle appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the soils dominated by volcanic rock and sand join in.
Vinification of Salvatore D'Amico Praìola Salina Bianco
This balanced white wine from Italy is organically vinified from the grape varieties Malvasia delle Lipari, Catarratto and Inzolia. In Sicily, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand and volcanic rock. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
