More information about Riesling vom Buntsandstein trocken - Ökonomierat Rebholz

The Riesling vom Buntsandstein from the hand of Ökonomierat Rebholz in the Palatinate presents a brilliant pale yellow color in the swirled glass. After the first swirl, this white wine is characterized by a wonderful brilliance that makes it dance lively in the glass. This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with just 1.6 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this German wine enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this light-footed white wine is marked by an incredibly light, silky and crisp texture. Thanks to its pronounced acidity, the Riesling vom Buntsandstein appears impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate, more precisely from Siebeldingen, finally delights with a good length. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the sandstone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Riesling vom Buntsandstein by Ökonomierat Rebholz

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Riesling. Only first-class harvested grapes were used for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Ökonomierat Rebholz. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into sandstone soils. A not-to-be-underestimated influence on the ripening of the grapes is also the fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate. This is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and a rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Riesling vom Buntsandstein by Ökonomierat Rebholz

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompanying wine to vegetable salad with beetroot, fruity endive salad or fried trout with ginger and pear.
