More information about Sauvignon - Tenuta Pinni
With the Tenuta Pinni Sauvignon, a first-class white wine finds its way into the well-polished wine glass. It offers a wonderfully bright, pale yellow color. The first nose of the Sauvignon shows nuances of peaches and acacia. The fruity elements of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Sauvignon from Tenuta Pinni starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an immensely fleshy and crisp texture. The finish of this wine from the Friuli Venezia Giulia wine-growing region is impressively long. Again, notes of peach and acacia appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and gravel-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Sauvignon from Tenuta Pinni
The basis for this balanced Sauvignon from Friuli Venezia Giulia is grapes of the Sauvignon Blanc variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and gravel. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Sauvignon can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
