The Scheurebe Buntsandstein can rightly be described as particularly fruit-driven and velvety, as it has been vinified with a pleasantly semi-sweet flavor profile.
On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully light. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Scheurebe Buntsandstein appears exceptionally fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the Franconia wine region delights with remarkable length. Hints of lemon and orange reappear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the sandstone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Bickel-Stumpf Scheurebe Buntsandstein
This balanced white wine from Germany is vinified from the Scheurebe grape variety. In Franconia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on sandstone soils. The grapes for this German white wine are harvested exclusively by hand once optimal ripeness has been ensured. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There, they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
