The Since 1913 Primitivo by Torrevento from the Italian wine-growing region of IGT Puglia is a pure, finesse-rich and expressive red wine.

This wine shimmers a deep ruby red with violet highlights in the glass. The refined bouquet enchants the nose with full-fruity aromas of sun-ripened cherries, juicy plums and dark berries - perfectly accompanied by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, this Italian red wine presents itself with a full-bodied taste that is enveloped by elegant tannins. The aromas of the nose are also present and give the Torrevento Since 1913 Primitivo an expressive fullness of fruit. This wine closes with a pleasantly long finish.

Vinification of Torrevento Since 1913 Primitivo

The Primitivo grapes grow on clayey soils in the IGT Puglia appellation.

The grapes are harvested in mid-September and immediately brought to the Torrevento wine cellar. There, the grapes are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by maceration of the mash. Both stainless steel tanks (10 months) and barrique barrels (6 months) are used for ageing. Finally, this red wine rounds off harmoniously in the bottle before leaving the winery.
