More information about Spätburgunder feinherb - Weingut Manz

The barrel-aged Pinot Noir from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen presents itself in a brilliantly shimmering light red in the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Germany presents wonderfully expressive aromas of plum, blackberry, blueberry and plum, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by the barrel aging.

The Weingut Manz Kein Pinot Noir presents us with an incredibly fruity taste on the tongue, which is of course due to its residual sweet profile. On the tongue, this light-footed red wine is characterized by an incredibly silky texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir flatters with a pleasing palate feeling, without lacking freshness. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of black cherry and plum. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and clay are added.

Vinification of the Weingut Manz Pinot Noir

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinot Noir. For this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Weingut Manz, only first-class grape material was harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and marl. After the grapes are harvested, they are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Weingut Manz Pinot Noir

This German red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to veal and onion casserole, leek soup or leek tortilla.
