More information about Grauwacke Spätburgunder trocken - Meyer-Näkel

With the Meyer-Näkel Grauwacke Pinot Noir comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, light red color. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like manner. This single varietal German wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of blueberries, plums, blackberries and black cherries in the glass. These are joined by hints of oriental spice, cocoa bean and gingerbread spice.

The Meyer-Näkel Grauwacke Pinot Noir impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 1.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine premium and site wine segment, this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Grauwacke Pinot Noir reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Ahr finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of black currant and plum. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sandstone are added.

Vinification of the Grauwacke Pinot Noir from Meyer-Näkel

The basis for the balanced Grauwacke Pinot Noir from the Ahr are grapes from the grape variety Pinot Noir. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Ahr. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sandstone. Obviously, Grauwacke Pinot Noir is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Dernau (DE). This German wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive manner. The ripening of the grapes for this wine made from Pinot Noir is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In the Ahr, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the pressing house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Grauwacke Spätburgunder from Meyer-Näkel
