More information about Turca - Fagarini
In the glass, Turca from the hand of Fagarini displays a bright ruby-red color. The first nose of Turca flatters with notes of violets, raspberries and acacia. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by additional fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, Turca from Fagarini starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. This meaty and velvety red wine presents itself on the palate as both harmonious and complex. The finish of this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral hints from the soils dominated by gravel and limestone.
Vinification of Turca from Fagarini
The basis for the balanced Turca from Trentino-Alto Adige is grapes of the Douce Noire variety. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone and gravel soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally racked.
