More information about Vuillermin - La Vrille
In the glass, Vuillermin from La Vrille presents a bright ruby-red color. On the nose, this La Vrille red wine offers all sorts of raspberries, cherries and plums. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as spices are added thanks to aging in large wooden casks.
On the palate, Vuillermin from La Vrille starts off wonderfully aromatic, fruit-forward and balanced. Balanced and complex, this velvety, meaty and dense red wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Aosta Valley wine-growing region delights with beautiful length. Once again, nuances of cherries appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the sand-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of La Vrille Vuillermin
This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Vuillermin grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. Here the vines drive their roots deep into sandy soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures follows. After it is complete, the elegant Vuillermin is aged for another 33 months in oak barrels. Aging in oak barrels is followed by a long bottle maturation, which makes this red wine even more complex.
Food recommendation for Vuillermin from La Vrille
This red wine from Italy should ideally be enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, stuffed peppers, or fried calf’s liver with apples, onions and balsamic sauce.
