In the glass, the Walsheimer Silberberg Pinot Gris from Karl Pfaffmann reveals a bright copper-gold color. In the glass, this white wine from Karl Pfaffmann presents aromas of pineapple, gallia melon, pears, lemongrass and grapefruits, complemented by other fruity nuances. This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 5.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar.

On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Walsheimer Silberberg Pinot Gris reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of pear and grapefruit appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Karl Pfaffmann Walsheimer Silberberg Pinot Gris

The balanced Walsheimer Silberberg Pinot Gris from Germany is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Gris grape variety. In the Palatinate region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the winery in the fastest way. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Walsheimer Silberberg Pinot Gris can further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
