More information about Weißburgunder Kalkstein trocken - Weingut Manz

The Pinot Blanc Limestone from Weingut Manz in Rheinhessen reveals a bright, light yellow color in the glass. This single-varietal German wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of pears, star fruit, pineapple and quince in the glass. This is joined by hints of oriental spices, cinnamon and black tea.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 3.9 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this creamy white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc Limestone is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of papaya and quince. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone are added.

Vinification of the Manz Pinot Blanc Limestone

This balanced white wine from Germany is vinified from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. After manual harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc Limestone is aged for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Pinot Blanc Limestone from Manz Winery

Experience this white wine from Germany best well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to cabbage roulades, leek tortilla or pumpkin casserole.
