This Lorusso Michele red wine presents the nose with all kinds of dried plums, damsons, fruit loaves, dried fruit and black cherries. As if that wasn't already impressive, cocoa beans, cigar box and dark chocolate are added to the mix thanks to the ageing in small wooden barrels.

The Lorusso Michele Solono Primitivo impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 19.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in this price range, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the finish, this storable red wine from the Apulia wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of prunes and raisins.

Vinification of Solono Primitivo by Lorusso Michele

This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Primitivo grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by ageing for several months in oak barrels.

Dining recommendations for the Solono Primitivo from Lorusso Michele

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to stuffed peppers, duck breast with sugar snap peas or roast veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce.
