More information about Aglianico Beneventano IGT - Vesevo

The Aglianico Beneventano from Vesevo comes into the glass with a bright purple red color and an almost opaque core. The nose reveals intense aromas of red fruit, with ripe blackberries and mulberries, accompanied by a hint of blueberry, coming to mind. A subtle oak spice and a hint of vanilla round off the bouquet of the Vesevo Aglianico Beneventano.

On the palate, the basic Aglianico from Vesevo starts with soft tannins, plenty of fruity freshness and a pleasantly dry mouthfeel. This red wine from the southern Italian region of Campania glides wonderfully harmoniously into a particularly long finish.

Vinification of the Vesevo Beneventano Aglianico

The grapes for this single-varietal Aglianico from the south of Italy are de-stemmed after the harvest and the berries are gently crushed. Mash fermentation takes place over 10-15 days at a temperature of 26°C. The Vesevo Aglianico is then matured in barriques for 8 months.

Dining recommendation for Vesevo Aglianico

Enjoy this red wine from top Farnese producer Vesevo with spicy meat dishes such as lasagne al forno or ossobuco.
