This powerful red wine from Italy is vinified from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and marl. Barolo Bricco delle Viole is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought immediately to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures follows. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally drawn off.
