Vinification of the Bricco Riva Bianca Buttafuoco by Picchioni Andrea

The powerful Bricco Riva Bianca Buttafuoco from Italy is a cuvée made from the Vespolina, Barbera, and Croatina grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lombardy. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of sand and gravel. After being hand-picked, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Bricco Riva Bianca Buttafuoco is aged for another 12 months in oak barrels.
