More information about Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Poggio di Sotto

With Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino, a first-class organic red wine finds its way into the glass. It reveals a wonderfully dense, ruby-red color. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet hue at the rims. When the glass is swirled, this red wine displays high viscosity, which shows in the legs on the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Tuscany captivates with aromas of sour cherry, violet and elderberry. Following the aromas further, toasted wood emerges.

Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino presents itself to the wine lover pleasantly dry. This red wine never appears coarse or lean, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an exceptionally velvety texture. Thanks to its present acidity, Brunello di Montalcino reveals itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and lively. On the finish, this highly age-worthy wine from the Tuscan winegrowing region ultimately delights with remarkable length. Once again, nuances of violet and sour cherry appear.

Vinification of Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino

This powerful red wine from Italy is organically produced from the Sangiovese grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are brought immediately to the press house. There, they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
