This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard naturally enchants with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and melting texture. The fruit acidity of the Cariñena Nativa is wonderfully mild and makes this wine wonderfully smooth. The finish of this red wine with good aging potential from the wine-growing region of Aragon, more precisely from Cariñena DO, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by slate and limestone.
Vinification of the Cariñena Nativa from Care Family Vineyards
The basis for the powerful Cariñena Nativa from Aragon are grapes from the Carignan grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Aragon. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, shale and gravel. The berries for this red wine from Spain, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the Cariñena Nativa is aged for 8 months in oak barrels.

This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as a companion to potato pan with salmon, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
