More information about Chardonnay - Tenuta Pinni
The elegant Chardonnay from Tenuta Pinni pours into the glass with a bright golden yellow color. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine offers wonderfully expressive aromas of brioche, banana, and apricot, rounded off with hay.
The Tenuta Pinni Chardonnay presents itself to the wine drinker as delightfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or austere, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully silky and creamy. The finish of this white wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region ultimately impresses with a lovely aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the gravel- and clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Chardonnay from Tenuta Pinni
The basis for this balanced Chardonnay from Italy is grapes of the Chardonnay variety. In Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and gravel soils. After being hand-harvested, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Chardonnay from Tenuta Pinni
This Italian is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, or chickpea curry.
