In the glass, the Dornfelder from Bretz offers a brilliantly shimmering purple-red color. This varietal German wine caresses the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, and blackberries. These are joined by hints of further fruits.
On the palate, this light-footed red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Rheinhessen wine-growing region ultimately delights with lovely length, once again revealing hints of blueberry and blackberry.
Vinification of Bretz Dornfelder
This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Dornfelder. Only flawless grape material was used for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Bretz. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Dornfelder can further harmonize on the fine lees for several months. Once the wine is finished, the Dornfelder is gently harmonized.
