The Gemei Alto Mincio IGT from Ottella is a concentrated ruby to garnet red in the glass. A complex bouquet unfolds on the nose with aromas of ripe red berries, playful and a little seductive. Impressions that are also reflected on the palate. On the palate, this red wine is soft, with a delicate texture and refined tannins that give the wine a very pleasing and velvety fullness. Long, fruity finish.
Vinification of the Gemei Alto Mincio IGT from Ottella
Three red grape varieties that grow on the hills in the estate's own vineyards are vinified together for this characterful red from Veneto from Ottella: Corvina Veronese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand between September and the end of October, depending on the ripeness of the grapes. Fermentation is carried out partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels, followed by repeated stirring and punching down of the skins. Malolactic fermentation and ageing for 6 months in oak barrels increase the complexity and fruitiness of this wine.
