More information about Grauburgunder trocken - Weingut Kiefer
The Pinot Gris from the wine-growing region of Baden appears in the glass in bright copper gold. The nose of this white wine from Baden enchants with aromas of apple, vineyard peach, apricot and quince. If we trace the aromatics further, brittle, roasted hazelnut and roasted almond join in.
On the palate, the Pinot Gris from Weingut Kiefer opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Pinot Gris flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without lacking juicy liveliness.
Vinification of the Weingut Kiefer Pinot Gris
The basis for the balanced Pinot Gris from Baden are grapes from the Pinot Gris grape variety. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loam, loess soil and volcanic rock. After harvesting, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Gris can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
