More information about Weißburgunder Chardonnay - Weingut Kiefer
The Weißburgunder Chardonnay from the wine-growing region of Baden appears in the glass in bright light yellow. The first nose of Weißburgunder Chardonnay shows notes of apricots, mirabelles and nectarines. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
Due to its incisive fruit acidity, Weißburgunder Chardonnay presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Weingut Kiefer Weißburgunder Chardonnay
The balanced Weißburgunder Chardonnay from Germany is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and loess. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
