More information about Grauer Burgunder - Weingut Espenhof

The Pinot Gris from the Espenhof winery presents itself in the glass in an intense straw yellow with golden reflections and enchants with its multilayered bouquet. This contains the wonderful aromas of yellow apple, peach and honeydew melon. These fruity notes are accompanied by subtle nuances of pistachio and coconut.

This white wine is melting on the palate with a medium body and pleasant acidity.

Vinification for the Pinot Gris from the Espenhof Winery

This white wine is made from Pinot Gris from the Flonheimer Binger Berg vineyard. The vines grow there on the slope on soils with calcareous clay marl. In the subsoil, the marine sediments provide fullness and smoothness to the wines.

The grapes for this white wine are fermented after a short standing period and aged in stainless steel and large wooden barrels and kept on the full lees until bottling.

Food recommendation for the Pinot Gris from Weingut Espenhof

Enjoy this dry white wine with grilled chicken breast in cream-lemon sauce, chanterelles or porcini dumplings.
