More information about Herrenbuck Auxerrois - Weingut Kiefer
The Herrenbuck Auxerrois from the Baden wine-growing region appears in the glass in a brilliant shimmering hue. The nose of this white wine from Baden seduces with nuances of peach, lime, mirabelle plum and vineyard peach. If we trace the aromatics further, juniper, lovage and garrigue are added.
The Weingut Kiefer Herrenbuck Auxerrois presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine enthusiast. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Herrenbuck Auxerrois flatters with a velvety mouthfeel, without lacking juicy liveliness at the same time.
Vinification of the Weingut Kiefer Herrenbuck Auxerrois
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Auxerrois. For this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Weingut Kiefer, only impeccable grapes were harvested. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone, loess soil and volcanic rock. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
