In the glass, this red wine from La Cadalora reveals aromas of plum, currant, blueberry and sour cherry, complemented by vanilla, chocolate and minerals. This Italian wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with an exceptionally low residual sugar content. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and, despite all its dryness, this Italian thus delights with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily need sugar. Balanced and multi-layered, this fleshy, dense and velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, finally convinces with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the La Cadalora in OHK Majere Riserva
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Casetta. For this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from La Cadalora, only the best grape material was harvested. In Trentino-Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. After hand-picking, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant in OHK Majere Riserva is aged for another 12 months in oak barriques.
