The powerful Laire from Azienda Agricola Bruni glides into the glass with a dense purple-red color. If you tilt the glass slightly, you can see a transition of the color towards violet at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. Ideally poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully complex aromas of plum, black cherry, plum and blackberry, rounded off by toasted barrique, cigar box and oak wood from the ageing in wooden barrels.

Vinification of the Azienda Agricola Bruni Laire

The powerful Laire from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Syrah grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sedimentary and weathered rock. Obviously, the Laire is also determined by more than just the Morellino di Scansano DOCG soil. This Italian can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself as extraordinarily complex. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation for 12 months in oak barriques.

This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with leek soup, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or a potato pan with salmon.
